The challenge
Staff needed reports that combined demographics, enrolments and performance measures from many tables, but every new report needed IT to write SQL, which took weeks. The challenge was to let users define multi-table reports themselves without hurting performance or security.
The solution
Jungroo AI built a report engine with five parts:
- Automatic Joins: The engine works out how tables relate and joins them correctly, using a defined data model.
- Point-and-Click Reports: Users choose columns and filters, which are turned into optimised SQL in real time.
- Shared Parameters: Context such as the fiscal year is applied to every query automatically.
- Reusable Templates: Saved report definitions run again quickly for recurring needs.
- Built for Scale: A multi-tenant backend that stays fast on large reports across many tables.
