What is sovereign AI?
Sovereign AI is AI that an organisation runs under its own control: the models, the data and the logs stay on infrastructure it governs, whether on-premise, in a private cloud or air-gapped, and it does not depend on an external AI provider to operate.
How is sovereign AI different from using a cloud AI API?
With a cloud AI API, your prompts and documents are sent to a provider's servers. With sovereign AI, the model runs inside your environment, so data never leaves it, and there are no per-query fees to an outside service.
Can a sovereign model match a large public model?
