National Digital Disbursement Infrastructure: Paperless Interest-Subsidy Claims
Client A financial technology partner, for a national programme in India
With a financial technology partner, Jungroo AI built a full-stack platform for the interest-subsidy claims process under India's National Rural Livelihoods Mission. Banks' paper-based quarterly claims gave way to digital claims with automatic verification, one central record of self-help groups, and security audited before launch.
The challenge
Banks submitted interest-subsidy claims every quarter on paper: claim certificates, annexures and supporting documents. Government stakeholders had no real-time view of claim status or compliance, and keeping financial records for millions of self-help groups led to inconsistent data and delays.
The solution
Jungroo AI and the partner built a full-stack platform covering the knowledge and application layers of our stack:
- Digital Claim Portal: Banks submit claims online, with field checks that stop incorrect claims at the source.
- Automated Verification: Claims are checked against programme guidelines and existing records automatically, reducing manual errors and processing time.
- Central Self-Help Group Records: One source of truth for member details, loans and transaction history across millions of rural groups.
- Audited Security: Several security audits against OWASP standards and independent test rounds before production, to protect public funds with many stakeholders involved.
